WPM

Value proposition transformation & funding; exit strategy defined

In 2008 WPM was in start-up mode as an EMEA based reseller of Verdiem’s PC power management software products.

Value realization for a reseller is usually constrained to reputation, customer goodwill, up-sell and repeat business. Exit value can be measured in low multiples of EBIT / revenue ratio unless a dividend strategy has been persued by the owners. Either way, business asset value and improved EBIT growth can be attained through broadening the proposition and ensuring logical up-sell based on reputation and value to the customers.

Transformation strategy:

WPM has been rebranded a Green ICT Solutions provider, and now provides a number of related products with high ROI for the desktop environment across large organizations. The proposition revolves around cost savings and compliance with carbon reduction legislation.

The company’s offering are augmented by consulting around carbon reduction legislation across EU countries, ROI evaluation services and the delivery of appropriate software solutions into the desktop environment.

Kieron resigned from WPM August 2009, having held the position as Non Executive Director, engaged in the role of Commercial Director and interim CFO. He still maintains a 30% shareholding.
